Bruce Taylor, who was awarded the National Diploma: Agricultural Management cum laude, received the ABSA Agri Business award as the Dux student for the period 2009 – 2011. He was also the best student in both Plant Production and Animal Production and received awards from the George Agricultural Society and the Bonsmara Breeders Association respectively. He has been appointed as a manager at a fruit export farm in Nelspruit which is well-known for the production of organic avocados.
Recardo Vrey was acknowledged as the Dux student in the degree programme – BTech Agricultural Management, again with an award by ABSA Agri Business. He was awarded his degree cum laude and is currently employed in the Koue Bokkeveld as a Junior Manager by the well-known Du Toit Group.
Regardt du Toit received the Agri Garden Route award for the best student in the subject Agricultural Management.
The award by Outeniqualand Agricultural Association for sustained academic achievement throughout all three years of study was made to two students - Regardt du Toit and Marco Pohl.
Jack Borrowdale and Justin Cork shared a prize awarded annually by the Department of Agricultural Management to the student who had made a significant contribution to the successful functioning of the programme, in addition to active participation in activities which go beyond normal academic responsibilities.
