Change the world

03/09/2012

A vibrant group of NMMU George Campus student council members and members of the SASCO affiliation visited Bethesda Hospice during the month of August as part of their community outreach programme.

The group portrayed the true spirit of Ubuntu when they offered up their time to assist with the day-to- day activities at the hospice. The students also made their presence known as they joined in song and dance to entertain the children who live at the centre. This made for an all-round joyous occasion for everyone present.

Student groups are always encouraged by their lecturers and student movement groups to go beyond the classroom which ensures that they become well-rounded individuals in all spheres of life, and thus being able to give back to the community at large.
