Anders, who is currently taking part in a joint master’s program between SLU and University of British Columbia (UBC), visited South Africa primarily to learn more about the local forest industry after gaining industry experience working at a forestland investment company based in São Paulo, Brazil. He has also worked in an advisory capacity at a Swedish forest owner association. This company, called Södra, is owned by 50 000 private forest owners in southern Sweden.
