Change the world

“Show you care – c’mon colour your hair – or even better shave it all off!  All for a good cause!”  This was the message the Student Council and Senior students at NMMU George Campus shared with all on campus when they recently hosted a Shavathon in aid of Cansa.

The young Madibaz and staff at the NMMU George Campus showed that their hearts are in the right place when they gathered in large numbers on Thursday 5 March 2015 to support the official fundraising project of Cansa Shavathon 2015!

Vibrant music and lots of fun were part of the event that also marked the second of TEN outreach and community projects to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of NMMU this year.  This also fits in with the values and life’s lessons which the university’s namesake, Dr Nelson Mandela, himself portrayed and which form the basis of NMMU’s value system.

The accompanying photographs communicate the unfolding story of Shavathon 2015 at NMMU George Campus…
